Accessibility and inclusivity

We organize film screenings in a variety of locations, in which the accessibility varies greatly. We have compiled information on this page about the locations we regularly visit. However, our information is incomplete for some locations. If you would like more detailed information about a particular screening location, we encourage you to contact the school the venue for more detailed information.

The accompanying person of a wheelchair customer can attend our screenings for free. The assistant or support person of a non-wheelchair customer can also attend the movies free of charge if the customer has a disability card with the A marking.

Most of the films we screen have descriptive subtitles available, which helps deaf or hearing-impaired viewers who use sign language to enjoy the film. The subtitles include all the dialogue in the film and a description of the film's soundscape. If you want to check whether descriptive subtitles are available for the film you wish to see, please contact us by email: filmipyora@elokuvakeskus.fi.

We are working towards making our screenings more accessible and inclusive and greatly appreciate feedback on the matter!
